Our Mist APs do not automatically adjust the 5GHz bonding width in accordance to interference on the network. The channel width is defined by the user (20MHz, 40MHz(default), or 80MHz) and the AP will maintain this width unless the user changes the configuration.
Most clients react badly when they see a BSSID with differing channel widths. It is not a recommended practice.
